A ring is tangled on a cubic frame. The ring moves freely within the cubic space and makes you feel that time is infinite. Begin with the ring tangled around START and try to successfully remove the ring. Designed by Akira Yuta from Japan.

The early 20th century witnessed a kind of puzzle boom, which in 1905 gave birth to an absurdly simple looking puzzle known as the “Devil’s Claws.” We were surprised at how nicely this new version turned out after deciding to revise the original. Don’t let the smooth looks of this one fool you, you may become one of those who let frustration take over, and leave this puzzle forever unsolved. Dedicated to the true puzzler! The entire unit gives off an air of antique wisdom, the pieces joined at the base in chaotic harmony. The name comes from the mathematical term, “radical axis”, and also means root in Latin. The innovative concept that it is, you might even be tempted to call it “radical”. Whatever you call it, have fun. The key word here is “sprout”.

At first glance, this puzzle by Kennet Walker of Rivermore, California doesn’t seem un-lockable. The five pieces, however, can most certainly be taken apart. Putting them back together, however, is a whole new problem in itself. My suggestion for solving this puzzle would be to not apply too much pressure. Solve it or not, the five pieces exude a kind of elegance, spiraling into a comfortable fit in the palm of your hand. The key word is “spiral”.

This is the second of “ring” puzzles. The five separate rings can be taken apart and put back together. This version has been changed a bit from the original made by Connecticut’s Jose Grant. This puzzle has five rings, like the Olympic rings that stand the test of time. That is the basic concept behind this puzzle. This Type of ring puzzle goes back at least as far as the 15th century, and is now remade with today’s puzzle crafting knowledge. Give it a go.
